Because I've been asked and no question is a stupid question unless it's... stupid... How do I make these? Okay, well first, I gather a veritable shit load (technical term) of images. I scan in portions of photographs and magazines I've collected, upload my own digital photographs and gather more images from various internet sites (mainly Google). Then I use Photoshop (or Microsoft Image Composer, in the case of earlier stuff) to cut the images and ...move them around. ...that's sort of it. Really, it's a lot like working by hand, except I cut with a mouse instead of scissors. So why do it digitally then? ...BECAUSE I WANT TO, FOOL. No, I have other reasons too.  I like resizing and using a single image to build up my figures and scenes, which means I use parts of the same image multiple times, which is hard to do without a copy machine. (the Casey collage, to give you an idea, is composed of about 350 pieces) An intense/possibly irrational fear of copy stores and Kinko's employees tends to distance me from such machinery. Generally though, I just like the digital format, I like the smoothness of it. Plus, digital projectors get me all excited.
